Chummy Encounter

I waited for Sir Marlon outside our room while drooling over Mike's latest artworks. I really admire his talent in drawing, be it in paper or in MS Paint. Uhuh. He can draw using the mouse! Cool, eh? Last term, he drew cartoon versions of Roxie, Gary, Edzel, and me! I asked him to create a bookmark for me and he said yes! Yipee! ^_^ Nweiz, Sir Marlon never came. Struck by his laziness once again. Where's the education we deserve, punk?!

TJ was nowhere in sight. Sarah said he didn't attend all his classes. *Sigh* I headed off alone. It was soo hot and the traffic along Buendia was terrible. All jeepneys were jam-packed. Heck. I had no plans of riding them anyway. I took an FX and burned my ass for about 30 minutes. It wasn't that bad, though. A lot of thoughts entered my mind amidst the heat and the traffic. Some were good, others weren't. But one thing is clear: I need to reassess my priorities.

When I reached Cubao, I felt so exhausted that I didn't mind shelling out Php5.50 instead of walking a very short distance. Felt so thirsty that I stopped by 7-eleven and treated myself with a citrus-flavored Slurpee. Ahh... Life is good. On my way to the overpass, I bumped into an old friend, FC. She greeted me with a painful pinch on the stomach... and a lot of smacks on the shoulder courtesy of her folded magazine. Ouch.

Me: *blocking her way*
FC: *pinch* "Hoy Kringle walang hiya ka!" *smack*
Me: "Hehe! Kamusta ka na?!"
FC: "Ok naman! Ba't nde mo ko ni-rereplyan?!" *smack*
Me: "Nawala ko phone ko.".
FC: "Talaga? San?"
Me: "Jan sa RP sa mei Artwork!"
FC: "Ay, nakikita ko c Jong sa mei Greenwich!"
Me: "Honga. Don xa nagw-work. Pati si Alpha."
FC: "Oist!" *smack* "Reunion daw tayo sabi ni Ulanday!"
Me: "O? Buong Veronica o tayu-tayo lang?"
FC: "Buong Veronica!"
Me: "Hocge! Kelan? Saan? Now na!"
FC: "Hehe! Ako nga din na-excite e! Pano ka namin maco-contact?"
Me: "Basta sa landline na lang!"
FC: "Hocge. Ang payat mo na!!!" *smack*
Me: "Ha? Payat na naman ako dati pa ha?"
FC: "Pero di ganyan ka-payat! Malnourished ka na rin! Hehe!"
Me: "Ganon?! Hmp!"
FC: "Si Natnat mejo tumaba na, in fairness."
Me: "Honga! Nakita ko sha sa Sta. Lu dati! San ka ba punta?"
FC: "Jan." *points RP*
Me: "Tsk! Tsk! Lunes na lunes gumigimik!"
FC: *smack* "Hindi! Pauwi na ako!"
Me: "Nakakadami ka na ha! Kanina mo pa ako sinasaktan! Umalis ka na nga!"
FC: "Hehe! Parang di mo naman ako kilala!"

Right. She's still the FC I knew back in highschool. Happy-go-lucky, witty, a little violent in a good way. She's still the FC who doesn't care about laughing her lungs out whenever she feels like it no matter where she is. By merely looking at her, one wouldn't believe that she won a lot of medals in figure skating both here and abroad. Being the wa-poise that she is?! Hehe. ^_^

I walked away with a smile on my face... and a lot of red marks on my shoulder. ^_^ It's nice to know that after 3 years, the bond is still there. I'm really excited about the reunion. I wish it would push through. I want to see those old wackos again. See how much they've changed or if they haven't changed at all. Hmm, I think I need to work on my weight from this day on. Have to increase my carbo intake. Have to stop skipping breakfast. Have to drink lotsa chocolate milk. Have to eat, eat, eat.

When It Rains, It Pours.

My mom woke me up at 8 in the morning. Too damn early. My eyelids were still droopy. The weather was perfect for just staying in bed. I just crawled under the sheets, ready to revisit dreamland. *ZzzZZz* "Gumising ka na! Baha na sa sala!" What the--?! "Ba't ngayon niyo lang sinabi?!" I immediately took all the books, magazines, bags, and gameboards out of their drawers and all electrical wirings off the floor. When I say books, that include some of my highschool books, my college books, and my pocketbooks. Magazines, meaning from Candy to Cosmo to Seventeen to A-teen to Preview to Pulp. And with gameboards, I mean, my Scrabble and Visionary plus my UNO stacko, UNO cards, and Boggle. Did all that in less than 3 minutes. Call it adrenaline rush.

I went out only to discover that the living room isn't flooded. Not yet. I always fall for that one. My mom's exaggeration. Argh! The gullible me. Well, at least I'm done with my stuff. After 15 minutes or so, the stench of flood started to fill my room. I stayed in bed and watched the flood transform my room into a 3-inches deep pond. Really disgusting. I wanted to watch some TV but I'm scared of getting Leptospirosis so I wrapped my feet with plastic and glided my way to the living room. It was fun, actually. Yeah, fun. ^_^

Despite the heavy rains and the thoroughfares-turned-swimming-pools in Metro Manila, classes weren't suspended for Mapúans like me. Not until 3 in the afternoon. What were they thinking?! I mean, haven't they heard of the floods, the landslides, the suspended classes, the cancelled flights, and the closure of many offices due to the bad weather?! Even the government employees were sent home, for crying out loud! Aren't they concerned about the safety of the students?!

Crash And Burn

I just read his reply to my email. I don't really want to talk about it. On second thought, I do.

Right now I don't quite know how to feel. Should I feel sad, angry, jealous, cheated, or what? I know I don't have any right to feel the latter two emotions. But I can't help it. I'm confused. There's this part of me that wants to hold on, and the other part of me... just die. I wish they can be done at the same time. I'm completely stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Have I said it enough times? Damn.

"Hindi ikaw ang problema, ako."
--Screw that. I've heard that sooo many times, it makes me puke.
"I really loved you, but the problem is ur not the only one I loved."
--One helluva slap in the face.
"I'm not asking for your forgiveness but I'm begging!"
--Time heals all wounds, I suppose.

I do admire his honesty, though. I just wish his so-called "honesty" got into work 8 fucking months ago. There are still a lot of things I wanted to tell him. A lot of questions I wanted to ask. But I don't want to bury myself deeper into the mudhole. So, as much as I don't want to, I'm keeping my silence. I will stay silent even though the words are screaming inside me.

I'm sick of people who think they can walk in and out of my life whenever they feel like it. I'm sick of people who don't give a shit about how I feel. He's one of the many who've hacked their way into my life... and the few who left me unguarded. I need to end this curse. Somebody please kill me. Now.

"It's too far away for me to hold
It's too far away
Guess I'll let it go"

Keeping The Faith

Today is the day that I communed with my faith once again. I went to church this morning with the whole family, which I must say is something that rarely occurs. Well, it's not that I don't believe in God coz I certainly do. Neither do I find it boring because it ain't those Catholic masses we're attending. I just believe that I can worship Him not only on Sundays AND in a lot of ways. And sometimes, I'm just plain lazy. >_<

"Neither do I find it boring because it ain't those Catholic masses we're attending."
-- Oops, sorry. Was that a little harsh?! Well, I have nothing against the Catholic faith. I just think that the people attending a Catholic mass should learn the meaning of true worship. I mean, it's not important that they know when to say "Amen", or they know all the lyrics of the songs. They should mean every word that comes out of their mouths. It should be genuine. Sincere. I'm not saying that all Catholics are insincere of their worships. What I'm saying is that because of these vain repetitions, some tend to use their minds a lot and forget to use their hearts. Thus, making it worthless. Read this: "When we worship, God looks past our words to see the attitude of our hearts." ~R.Warren (PDL). Dig? And with the Catholic church being tainted with too much politics? Well, that's another story.

Speaking of PDL, I purchased MY OWN copy of the book. Yipee! Actually, I started reading the book October last year and finished it last July. Ha! It took me 9 months to finish it instead of 40 days! I am definitely not a slow reader. At least, not THAT slow. It took me so long because I only borrow my mom's copy and I don't really read one chapter a day religiously. That pretty much explains it. So, why purchase a copy of my own? Wala lang. I just wanna have my own copy. Besides, I'm actually planning to read it again. ^_^

I think I sound religious... do I? Weird.

Nweiz, more on the purchases I made. I bought a pair of earrings shaped like a spider. Nice! I also bought two mood rings! Uhuh! Not one, but two! It would change its color depending on the mood of the person wearing it. How does it work? The stone is made of glass filled with a liquid that is sensitive to temperature. The change in temperature would make the liquid molecules move or twist, which would then affect the wavelengths of light absorbed or reflected. Thus, the change in color! Pretty cool, huh? Here's a list of the colors and its meaning:

DARK BLUE - happy; romatic; passionate
BLUE - calm; relaxed; at ease
BLUE-GREEN - somewhat relaxed; inner emotions charged
GREEN - average; active; not under great stress
AMBER - a little nervous or anxious; unsettled
GRAY - very nervous or anxious; strained
BLACK
- stressed; tensed; overworked

According to my mood ring, I'm... happy, romantic or passionate. ^_^

This Is Me

Today is Ninoy Aquino's death anniversary. 'Tis a non-working holiday so no classes for me! Yay! I'm spared of waking up at 5:30 in the morning. What a relief.

I went to the grocery with my parents this afternoon. I grabbed this new breakfast cereal from Nestlé called Cookie Crisp. It says, "Nestlé Cookie Crisp looks and tastes just like those little chocolate chip cookies you love!" I love cookies! Sounds yummy! I was really excited when I got home that I can't wait for tomorrow's breakfast to taste 'em. Sure it looks like those chocolate chip cookies but it tastes more like... Koko Krunch. The choco chips aren't even chocolates! I am really disappointed. Ugh. The art of advertising. How deceiving. Lesson learned: Never fall into the traps of advertisement. Argh!!! I want my Oreo O's back! I miss the taste of REAL Oreo cookies and marshmallows! I really want my Oreo O's back!!!

I'm bored to death. Uhuh. It's Saturday and I am b-o-r-e-d. Bored. I ain't got a thing to do. Hmmm... my studies are nagging me at the back of my head, though. But please. That would be the last thing I wanna do on a Saturday. Oh well. I just took some online tests in order to kill time. Here are some that are pretty interesting, I think.

Being the Lord of the Rings fan that I am...

My Hobbit name is Primula Moss of Lake-by-Downs.
My Elvish name is Ireth Vardamir.

Arwen

Arwen

If I were a character in The Return of the King, I would be Arwen, an Elf and the daughter of Elrond.

In the movie, I am played by Liv Tyler.

Who would you be?
The Return of the King Testwith Perseus Web Survey Software

I'm really happy that I got Arwen! ^_^ I swear I took the quiz once and I did not cheat! Though I was planning to if I don't get Arwen, Legolas, or Aragorn.*evil grin*

And being The Matrix fan that I am...
Morpheus
You are Morpheus! You da Man! You are the Inspiritational Leader, the father figure. You are the wise philosopher; You never try anything, you only Do. You've realized that there is a differance between knowing the path and walking the path.
Which Matrix Character are You - This one is better than all the others (Now its Finished!)

Well, I guess it's better to have something done than nothing at all. ^_^

Hope Dies Last

I am not alright. I really want to say that I am, but I'm not. It's so hard to force myself to smile. And it's driving me nuts!

First, I couldn't sleep last night. I just tossed and turned in bed for 5 hours. *_* Poor me. I was preoccupied with nagging thoughts. About someone. Whom I've liked. A lot. For quite some time now. But shit does happen. I mean, you step on some dung and you either scrape it off and really dig in to get the shit out, or you just walk it off and hope you wear it out in time. Honestly, I really dunno which is preferable. So, I asked God to give me a sign. Nothing in particular. Just someone or something to tell me what to do... to show me what's right. Coz I dunno what to do anymore. And I think God gave me the sign last night. After 3 months of waiting. So, I did what I have to do. I just hope I did the right thing. Damn. I was living in this warm and fuzzy world of daydreams for months and I got yanked right out of it. I want to get back there but what scares me is that maybe I never will. Ugh. I hate this. I feel like such a sap. T_T

Second, I wasn't able to attend my first class. I really, really, really wanted to attend that class coz I was already absent for two days. Again, shit does happen. My parents forgot to give me my allowance. Very lame. Actually, they didn't really fail to give me my allowance. What they did fail to remember was that my brother was asking for extra money for his tickets. Dino took all the money that my parents left and I wasn't able to prevent him from doing so! Because... uhm... I was... uh... sound asleep. But I can't be blamed! 10am is still very early for me to wake up considering that my class starts at 1:30! I woke up 15 minutes before 11 and did my morning rituals. When I was about to leave, "Shit! Where's my allowance?!" Argh!!! I called my mom and it took them an hour to reach home. That leaves me with 30 minutes to travel from our house to Makati. (Shit.) I decided that I will take the MRT but the traffic in Cubao was terrible! (Deep shit.) I arrived at exactly 2:43pm. I gave my professor my assignment but I dunno if she'll consider to record it. (Deeper shit.) I hope. Afterall, it was due last Wednesday but she was the one absent. Here I go again. Passing the buck to the professor. Tsk!

Lastly, I got the result for my exam in Automata. It was awful. I only got 21%. I'm scared of my grade. I really deserve a smack on the head. And to think of all the trees' lives wasted on those useless papers. It absolutely breaks my heart that I, a friend of mother earth, could do such a thing. Ehe. So next time she gives a quiz, I'll be ready for her. That will be the first and the last time I fail in her exams. Uhm... I hope.

Going Under

I took the quiz in Automata that I missed yesterday. Verdict: Not good. I'm sure I failed. Miserably. Because of the 1 1/2 hours I had for that exam, I spent most of it thinking of creative ways to draw DFA and NFA diagrams. I have a very bad feeling about Automata. I did well on the first quiz, though. I managed to get a 96%. But with the 2nd quiz, I doubt if I could even get a 10%. *Sigh* I'm reminded of my days back in highschool. Back when I could study 15 minutes before the exam and still pass.

The result of the SC election isn't quite what I expected. Opalyn did not make it. She was behind with more than 50 votes, I think. They should've held the election for two days. So students who aren't available on a Tuesday can still make their votes count. Most of the IM and IT students, which comprise the majority of the SOIT population, are for S.U.L.E.T. Sayang talaga. Nweiz, what's done is done. Whining won't do any good. Afterall, Kenneth did make it to the Cabinet position! Yay for him!!! ^_^

Pathetic Blog

I finally have the energy to blog. But I have nothing to blog about. There's not much going on. In my life, at least. Mainly because I spent these past few days bumming around. I didn't go to school last Wednesday due to a freaking headache. It ain't just a headache. It's a there's-a-huge-hammer-hitting-my-head kind of headache. I could barely move! Parang umaalog yung utak ko kahit konting galaw lang. I don't really feel sick but my mom told me that I am. Dapat nga papasok na ko ngayon kaso pagdating ko ng Junction e sumama yung pakiramdam ko. Because of the heat, I guess. Wala pang FX na dumadaan. Real bummer, eh? So, I decided to take a ride back home.

I have this belief that too much television is causing my headache. So, I'm trying my best to avoid Mr. TV, which I should say, is very tedious on my part being the couch potato that I am. :) I just listened to my playlist of easy music. "Easy" meaning music minus the angst and the growling but not sappy in any way (or so I think). Here's my current playlist:

10. Cannonball - Damien Rice
09. Somewhere Only We Know - Keane
08. Linger - The Cranberries
07. Lost in You - Ash
06. The Scientist - Coldplay
05. I Think God Can Explain - Splender
04. Barely Breathing - Duncan Sheik
03. A Love to Share - Rivermaya
02. My Immortal - Evanescence
01. Rainbow - Southborder

Though some may sound a little prehistoric, I'm still very much into them. Maybe because most of these songs pretty much describe how I feel. Somehow. And how I hate to admit that. Ugh. Nothing much going on in my life so I end up blabbing about my playlist. How pathetic. (-_-)

It's A "Girl" Thing!

I don't feel so good. It's my "first day" today and I'm really in pain. I think it's unfair why women have to go through this thing every month. While men on the other hand only experience their own "pain" once! I remember my highschool teacher blame Eve for it. She said Eve committed the greater sin so she got the greater punishment. As well as every woman on earth! Yeah right. I wish the remote on the rewind of life does work. Ha! I know, it's absurd. But what if they never took a bite at that forbidden apple?! I could just imagine everyone walking around naked! No need to spend money on clothes! Hehe.

Speaking of clothes, we were all in yellow! Well, almost. Ogie was wearing an orange and Arnold was in green. Orange and green wouldn't be the color that they are if it wasn't for yellow! As we were all taught in pre-school... yellow + red = orange... and yellow + blue = green! Hehe. What's with the color yellow, you may ask. Today was supposed to be the day to cast our votes for the SC Election. Yellow is the color for S.U.L.E.T! Talk about some support. :) The election was cancelled, though. The Mapúa system is down. Some virus infection I guess. Too bad. Most of us don't have classes tomorrow. That would be a lot of votes *poof* gone. I hope Opalyn and Kenneth would make it. I have my fingers crossed.

Because I was not feeling well, I did not attend my last class. Some of my classmates told me that Sir Marlon might not attend our class since he was absent in his previous classes. I felt happy for a second there. But as I was preparing to go home, he arrived. I sat there for about 5 minutes. Thinking. How am I going to tell a "sir" that I'm having a really painful period and that I really need to go home and rest?! Plus I don't want to be stuck in traffic, have myself squeezed inside the MRT, and battle with other passengers just to ride an FX! Not in my condition. Luckily, Sir Marlon went out for whatever reason. Ha! A chance for me to sneak out! Fare thee well classmates!! ^_^

Donut Fight

I normally find it difficult to wake up on a Sunday morning. But not today! My parents brought home a box of my favorite donut on Earth! Go Nuts Donuts! Hmmm!!! Mouth watering. Really. It's not everyday that I get to taste these -- to quote myself -- insanely delicious donuts! That's because the only way to get a dose of their donuts is to go to their one and only branch -- at The Fort. Good thing my parents were at the area and they were patient enough to fall in line... a very long line that is. They were even in line with the "Mulawin"... Richard Gutierrez! Hehehe. And the equally gorgeous Enrico Villanueva and Rich Alvarez!! Waaahh!!! How I wish I was there!

I got a call from my lola. She was asking me to write down numbers. Lotto numbers. I hang up after a little conversation then I handed the paper to my mom. My mom told me that my lola's heart was diagnosed to have a problem. Enlargement of the heart. She needs to undergo this certain procedure and take a lot of medication. And it'll cost an awful lot of money. God help us. I love my lola so much and losing her scares the hell out of me. Argh! I hate this! Why am I thinking that things wouldn't turn out well?! Ok. Breathe in, breathe out. "Everything is gonna be ok." God, I really want to believe it.

Shit. I can hear my parents argue. They fight over the lamest of reasons. Like kids. I dunno who snapped at who or what the hot issue is. In fact, I don't care to know. Argh! What's wrong with my speakers?! Why can't it mask their angry voices?! Shit. My ears hurt. >:(

Home Alone

After our Multimedia class, Roxie and I decided to stay and watch the Meeting de Avance. Parang "urong-sulong" bago ako makapag-desisyon! T'was because I was asked by my parents to be home early and watch my little brother. Well, I was never their obedient daughter. So, I stayed.

As expected, the meeting started late. But it was worth the wait. Potpot was able to answer every question thrown at her... or the S.U.L.E.T party for that matter. Her answers were just...WOW. I must say, she kicked some serious donkey ass!!! No doubt about that. Two of the questions were like leading her to mention her being an SK Chairman. These people were actually expecting her to talk big about it. Too bad for them, she did not buy it. Kudos to Opalyn! ^_^

We went home right after the Meeting de Avance. I was expecting to find my brother lying on the sofa, watching his favorite wrestler beat the hell out of his opponent. Instead, I got a note saying that they will be home by midnight and that my food is in the fridge. Great. I'm home alone! I checked out the fridge and much to my delight, I found a bowlful of ginataang hipon! There to satisfy my hunger and mine alone! Hmm! Yum! Yum!

I almost forgot to catch Final Destination 2 on HBO. Good thing I have this tiny post-it on my monitor. Hehe. It wasn't that gory compared to its prequel, though. But who wants to watch a gory movie alone?! Not me. ^_^

Mr. Sleeping Pills

Awright! My first official blog! Ha! I'm feeling a little tingly! Hehe!

Nweiz, I got home from school earlier than usual. Absent kasi si Sir Marlon. Lucky me! I felt like I wasn't ready to attend his class anyway. We were supposed to have an exam and I didn't even cared to open my book! How lazy can I get?! I dunno, I just did not feel like studying. Uh-oh. "Lazy Kringle" strikes back! Tsktsktsk. Sooo not good. Wait. Maybe it has something to do with the professor. Right. It has A LOT to do with the professor. His teaching style makes me want to grab my pillow and take a journey down to my oh-so-wonderful dreamworld. Here's what he does: He grabs a book, writes the given examples on the board, then explains it exactly the same way it was explained in the book. He gives out a hundred item quiz every friday and it's no multiple choice! Whew! I'd rather attend Ma'am Espiritu's class! Though both classes are major "ZZzzZz" potentials, at least she exerts some effort to download slides from the Internet! That's way better than having to read a handwriting that resembles the alibata. Haha! Attending Ma'am Espiritu's class would mean attending a reading session, though. Argh! I'mma stop the comparison!!! It just makes me feel that I have such an unlucky fate. *Sigh* What am I to do?! I'm stuck with Sir Marlon and his ho-hum style for two more months! Hmmm... I guess I just need to adapt myself to it. Ha! Like I have a choice!

Not Again!

Wow. I can't believe I'm actually doing this... again. Typing the storybook of my life for everyone to see. I started my own blog when I was in highschool. Ginaya ko lang si Ate Shirley. Back then my posts were full of "kalandian" and "kakornihan". Masabi lang na meron din ako! All the mushy love quotes and all the mushy love songs... plus some "kilig" moments with my crushes. It's just so... "highschool-ish".

I dunno why I stopped. I just missed posting for a day... and another day... and another. The days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. What the heck! I'm at it again! Nainggit kasi ako kay Orlando e! Wahaha!

Well, now that I'm in college, I want it to be different. I want it to be more... ME. My thoughts, my opinions, my emotions, my story, my life. All mine. No sappy love songs. I swear. ^_^
