[Project 365] Week 20

05.09.11
Day 129: OK Ka Ba Tiyan?

My stomach's been acting up for the past couple of days. I vomited the entire day Saturday and I've been suffering from diarrhea since yesterday. My trips to the throne are like minutes apart and are really "explosive", I must say. Haha. Gross, I know! TMI! :))

I had to call in sick from work again coz I don't want to deal with it away from the comforts of our own comfort room. Hehe. And I'm really too tired and nauseous already, I'm practically glued to my bed. :(

My parents bought me medicines and lots of latundan. I requested for bottles of Yakult coz I felt like I needed an army of live Lactobacilli Shirota Straaaaiiiiin to fight all them bad bacteria inside my tummy. The war is still on but I could almost taste our victory. But for now, I need to run and set off another explosive shit. I mean, literally.

05.10.11
Day 130: Feed My Skin

We all know how regular soap could leave our skin dry and dull. My mom would always tell me to use Dove soap instead. She even bought wholesale just so we won't run out of stock. But I rarely use this coz it takes more time to rinse off compared to other soaps. Especially not during the weekdays when I need to prepare in a hurry.

Lately, I noticed that my skin has become extra dry and rough. I used to squeeze from my mom's aloe and chamomile lotion but I really don't like the sticky feeling it leaves on my skin. But I don't want to be all wrinkly and pruney too. Sure, lines and wrinkles come with age. But I could at least slow the process down, right?

I should start feeding my skin now. So I bought a bottle of Neutrogena Body Oil as recommended by Angel Aquino. Hehe. I smooth on a few drops after shower while my skin is still damp and let it dry naturally. When I'm pressed with time, I mix it with the last few dippers of water while I bathe. Either way, as indicated in the bottle, it always is a sheer moisturizing experience. I love how it leaves my skin soft, smooth and moisturized minus the sticky feeling. It doesn't even feel greasy since it quickly vanishes into the skin. I love it so much, I can't take my hands off me! Haha.

05.11.11
Day 131: Recuerdo De Amor

Salamat sa pasalubong ng isang kaibigang nagbalikbayan at sa rekwerdo ng isang kaibigang mangingibang-bayan. ^_^

05.12.11
Day 132: SpacebarTrouble

Itsuckshowmywordsarerunningtogethercozthespacebarofmy officelaptopiskindajammed. Ihavetopoundonmykeyboardhardjusttogetthesefuckin spaces between my words! And I think it's starting to annoy my officemates soI'mmastoppoundingnow. Ugh. Ishouldreallystartcleaningmykeyboard.

05.13.11
Day 133: Keep Out The Sky

A fence of barbed wire separating me from my sky.

05.14.11
Day 134: Wasted

My dad and my brother went out with some friends to have a few drinks. But "few" may not be an accurate word since Dino came home wasted as hell. He went straight to where Mico and I were seated and started picking on the towel wrapped around my head.

Dino: "Kringle, ano yang nasa buhok mo? Twalya? Hahahaha!"

He asked me that question for like twenty times and would laugh really hard after. BALIW! Haha. He was talking loudly and incessantly, I had to ask my dad to restrain him!

Dino: "Kringle!"
Me: "O bakit?"
Dino: "Wala lang! Hahahaha!"

Dino: "Mico, pahingi ng Lala!"
Mico: "Ito o."
Dino: "Kringle, subuan mo ko!"
Me: "Ayoko nga! Isubo mo mag-isa mo!"
Dino: "Hahahaha!"

Dino: "Si Jeff nalasing! Tumawag yung asawa! Hahahaha!"
Me: "Bakit ikaw? Hindi ka ba nalasing?"
Dino: "Hindi ako lasing! Hahahaha!"

Dino: "Nasan si Franz? Sabihin mo miss ko na sya."
Me: "Hahahaha!"

Laughtrip! Amp. Hahahaha!

But the fun is over for him now. He's been throwing up his insides, first in the bathroom, now outside our house. I can hear him complaining about his chest already aching. My mom went out to check on him. Then she said,

Mom: "Dino, na-beat na kita sa Bejeweled."
Dino: "Wala akong pakialam!"

Hahahaha! =))

05.15.11
Day 135: iPlay

My mom has always enjoyed playing games. I remember her playing with my Game & Watch and Brick Game back when they were the "in" thing. If she were into fighting games, I'm sure she would've played with my Sega too. She never operated or even touched my PC until I installed Text Twist and Hangaroo. Yesterday, she discovered how fun the iPod Touch is that she could hardly put it down.

Mico: "Ma, wala pang sinaing."
Mom: "Ikaw na mag-saing, naglalaro pa ako."

Dino: "Ma! Si Papa nasa phone!"
Mico: "Ma! Si Papa daw nasa phone! Kausapin ka daw!"
Dino: "Maaaaaaaa!!!!"
Mom: "Tsk! Istorbo! Naglalaro eh!"

Haha. My mom's officially addicted. She spends hours tapping the screen and complains when the battery dies. I recharged my iPod countless times today and it's funny how she would constantly ask me if it's done already. She even told me that she would just play with it while it's charging. ADIK!

Mom: "Kringle, pano ba masi-save yung score ko?"
Me: "Kapag nag-game over ka na."
Mom: "E hindi pa ako dead e, nagsasawa na ako."
Me: "Patingin nga, naka-Endless mode ka pala e. Hindi masi-save yung score mo."
Mom: "Bakit? Wala bang katapusan yung Endless?"
Me: "Hahahahaha!"
Mom: "Anubayan, nasayang lang ang oras ko!"
Me: "Hahahahaha!"

[Project 365] Week 19

05.02.11
Day 122: Mango Tango

A basket of mangoes from Mister Dy. I had a slice and it was perfectly ripe! =P~

05.03.11
Day 123: Refu Keki

What to do with so much mangoes???

05.04.11
Day 124: Birds And Bunnies

Ate Medi is here for a short vacay and we just had to take a few minutes off her super hectic schedule and see her. Had a quick lunch at Bon Chon in Ayala Triangle. Our conversations were more like question and answer sessions, trying to catch up with one another in between bites. Then she brought out her ubongs! A bunch of cute angry birds plushies and White Rabbit candies! As in the original White Rabbit candies that has an edible wrapper and not the brown, toffee ones. Haven't eaten these in years! I immediately unwrapped one for dessert and it's the same soft and chewy and milky candy that I used to love! Yummy! Didn't even care about it getting stuck in my braces. Hehe. Thanks Ate Medi! And hopefully next time we'll have more time to hang out. :) *ehem* Asya *ehem*

05.05.11
Day 125: Pony Shooters

Bought a coupla Pony Shooters from the Markdown Madness super sale held at the Enterprise. Got mine for only Php775. That's 70% off its original price! Saya! Let's get it on! :)

05.06.11
Day 126: Volume III

Bought another external drive for my movie collection. I now have three HDDs, a total of 791 movies and counting! Haha. Sinong adik?! :)

05.07.11
Day 127: Rain Drops

According to PAGASA, summer will be short and sweet and that the rainy season will come in early this year. With the scorching heat that I have to endure everyday, I really don't mind the occasional rain showers. But please, don't let the summer end too soon! We haven't had our summer outing yet! :(

05.08.11
Day 128: Mom's Day

Happy Mother's day, mom! Stay as beautiful, as young-looking, as happy, and as strong as you are. Know that things will get better soon. We love you so much! :)
~o0o~

Mom: "Mico, palitan mo na yung picture ko sa FB!"
Mico: "Papalitan ko na nga e. Sa tingin mo ba forever yun don?"
Mom: "Oo, fans kita e!"

[Project 365] Week 18

04.25.11
Day 115: Crazy Lights

Crazy lights amid the crazy traffic taken by a crazy photo enthusiast living a crazy life fueled by crazy dreams. Haha.

Crazy.

04.26.11
Day 116: Prayer Beads

A street lamp casting a warm yellow glow on Franz's rosary. May we always be safe everytime we hit the road.

04.27.11
Day 117: Ace Of Hearts

Oh shit. I knew I dropped my heart somewhere.

04.28.11
Day 118: A Spoonful

Woke up feeling a bit under the weather. Stepped into the shower hoping to wash the heat away. Unfortunately, it only got worse. So I texted my boss and told him that I won't be reporting for work today. Good thing I still have tomorrow to beat my deadline. For now, I'mma take my drugs and sleep the day away. Hope I could bounce back soon. :(

04.29.11
Day 119: Rodrick Rules!

Watched the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" at Galleria. The movie version is very different from the book, which is actually a good thing. Haha. Coz as much as I enjoy reading the books and seeing the cute illustrations in every page, it really doesn't have a solid plot that could make for a good movie. It's one of those rare cases where the movie is better than the book. :)

04.30.11
Day 120: Switchfoot: Hello Hurricane Tour

Arrived at the gates of Philsports Arena 6:30pm, just an hour before the supposed start time. The line had already snaked around the venue. Spent the next hour talking about what some people were wearing. Like girls in very high heels walking back and forth the slightly uphill road. Must've been a real tiis-ganda moment for them. Hehe.

The line started to move at around 7:30. I'm so glad that we were able to pick really good seats. Hihi. Imago opened the show with the following tracks:

* Akap
* Sundo
* Effect Desired None

Am not familiar with the last song but as always, I really enjoy watching Aia de Leon perform on stage. Mabuhay mga kulasa! Hehe. :)

It was already 9:30 when Switchfoot took the stage. We all jumped to our feet and sang our hearts out to every song we know! Sobrang taas ng energy!! Sarap! Haha. Here's their setlist and the videos I took:

* The Sound - "John Perkins said it right, Love is the final fight!"
* Stars - "When I look at the stars, the stars, I feel like myself!"
* Bullet Soul
* Gone
* Your Love Is A Song - "I've been keeping my hopes unbroken!"
* Free - "I still believe, You can save me from me!"
* Always - Every breath is a second chance! Yeeeaaaahh!"
* Awakening
* Meant To Live - "We were meant to live for so much more! Have we lost ourselves?"
* Mess Of Me - "I've made a mess of me, I wanna get back the rest of me!"
* Learning To Breathe - "I could use a fresh beginning too, All of my regrets are nothing new!"
* This Is Home - "We are miracles and we're not alone!"
* We Are One Tonight

Encore:
* Only Hope - "I know now You're my only hope!"
* Hello Hurricane
* Dare You To Move - "I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor!"

Sayang, I wasn't able to record their final song as I ran out of memory space. Dapat pala hindi ko na lang ni-video yung Imago. Haha.

"I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and You alone can break my fall
I'm living again awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies."
--- Learning To Breathe, Switchfoot

05.01.11
Day 121: More Parking Inside

Finding a parking slot at Megamall during the weekends is as difficult as.. uhmm... finding the... uhmm... the appropriate simile to complete this sentence. Haha. And it gets much worse when they go on sale! Buti naman naisipan na nilang magdagdag ng parkingan.

[Project 365] Week 17

04.18.11
Day 108: Men At Work

The moment the school year ended, a lot of roads have been blocked for construction causing a lot of traffic. It has always been a slow drive from Marikina to Makati and back. And with all these on-going road constructions, it just got a lot worse. :/

04.19.11
Day 109: Make That A Grande, Please.

Light and crispy and greasy grande onion rings from Taters! Yum-o! =P~

04.20.11
Day 110: The King Of All Sandwiches

Tried "Elvis, The King Sandwich" at Peanut Butter Company in Paseo Center. That's toasted bread stuffed with peanut butter, slices of banana, and crispy strips of bacon - known to be Elvis Presley's favorite sandwich! It was sooo good, I could've eaten three two! The mayo with peanut butter dip that came with the mojos wasn't that bad of a combination either. Derick had tried the spaghetti with peanut butter before and according to him, it was actually good. Sounds interesting but I am yet to twirl myself a forkful of that. I'm telling you, this place is heaven for peanut butter lovers like me!

On our way out of the restaurant, I decided to grab a jar of Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter. Am planning to whip my own Elvis sandwich at home! Hihi.

04.21.11
Day 111: Antipara

Pictorial with Dino for his Facebook profile picture! Hahaha. And this is his nerdy look daw.

"Wala ka nang makita
Di ka pa mag-antipara
Hindi halata ang luha
Sa likod ng antipara."
--- Antipara, Itchyworms

04.22.11
Day 112: Easy Day

An afternoon spent sitting under a tree, watching joggers, reading a book and playing The Sims 3. God, I need more days like this.

04.23.11
Day 113: Swing

"Swing, swing, swing from the tangles of
My heart is crushed by a former love
Can you help me find a way to carry on again?"
--- Swing Swing, The All-American Rejects

04.24.11
Day 114: Choco Surprise

Little balls of chocolatey goodness! Happy Easter, everyone! :)

Sunday, April 17, 2011

[Project 365] Week 16

04.11.11
Day 101: Blue And Yellow

Beating the summer heat with Frosty Lemon Tea and Blue Hawaiian mocktail!

04.12.11
Day 102: Life Is Sweet

Marble cheesecake by Secret Recipe. Money well-spent. Taste buds happy. :)

04.13.11
Day 103: PlastiCITY

Every year, around 500 billion to a trillion plastic bags are used worldwide, with over one million bags used every minute. It's no surprise that most of our trash is plastic. We have tons of plastic cluttering our landfills, clogging our drainage systems and choking our oceans.

Kudos to the local government of Muntinlupa for successfully banning the use of plastic in all establishments in the city. Two years ago, Marikina had the same goal. Why it did not push through, I have no idea. But I hope that our local government would try to get their teeth into it again coz with enough political will, Muntinlupa has proven that it can be done.

04.14.11
Day 104: Hari Ng Kalsada

Just saw the music video of the song "Don't Let Me Go" by The Click Five. The video was produced in partnership with MTV EXIT, a campaign that aims to raise awareness about human trafficking and exploitation. Caught a scene with a jeepney passing by, obviously shot here in the Philippines.

Most of us coast through life blindfolded, oblivious to the terrible things happening right under our noses. We choose what we want to see and couldn't look past our own wants and needs. The Click Five and MTV EXIT encourages us to take off our blindfolds and see the things that we're trying hard not to notice. Watch the video and join the fight to end exploitation and trafficking.

04.15.11
Day 105: Quarenta

Isang linggo nanaman ang lumipas. Kwarenta oras ng pagtutok sa monitor, pagpindot ng keyboard at paggalaw sa mouse. Ilang oras pa ba ang kailangan kong bilangin bago ako makalaya?

04.16.11
Day 106: Concrete Gods

Visited The Myth of the Human Body at Neobabylon building in Taguig City. It is an exhibit showcasing over 300 real human specimens, dissected in every way possible to disturb educate its visitors. This is made possible by a process called plastination developed by German anatomist Gunther von Hagens. I was really fascinated with the cadavers and the plastination process itself. I just don't think the tour guides were the best persons for the job. They weren't that believable and it didn't help that they kept on cracking corny jokes that seldom elicit laughter from the crowd.

Taking of photographs was prohibited and as much as I'd like to steal a few snaps, naisip ko baka multuhin nila ako. Haha. Click here for a set of photos taken by Richard Romano.

04.17.11
Day 107: My Doodle

My Talent and WeeWillDoodle collaboration at Eastwood City.

[Project 365] Week 15

04.04.11
Day 94: Choco Mallows

Everytime I open a box of chocolate mallows, I open a box of childhood memories...

Haha.

Ikaw, ano'ng kwentong Fibisco mo?

04.05.11
Day 95: Whaddup, Doc?

Bought a slice of carrot cake from Happy Bakery. The frosting was too sweet and the cake itself could use a little more flavor. But the carrot-shaped icing on top looked perfectly real! Uhmm, wala lang. Haha.

04.06.11
Day 96: 1 Corinthians 10:31

Everything I do, I do for His greater glory! Kahit na itong pag-petiks ko sa office. Hehe.

04.07.11
Day 97: Iiihhhh! :">

Rose: "Saw your photos"
Rose: "You still never fail to amaze me"
Rose: "Keep it up!"
Me: "Iiihhhh..."
Me: "Hehe. Thanks so much!! Katuwa naman"
And you never fail to inspire me to keep on doing what I do. Thanks again! ^_^

04.08.11
Day 98: Light And Bubbly

Pag ordinaryong day today, gawing light and bubbly Cali day! :)

04.09.11
Day 99: Water Color

A colorful night fountain.

04.10.11
Day 100: Race To The Top

In celebration of Michael Cacnio's 20th year in the art scene, he held an exhibit of his Balloons series at the Ayala Museum. I've posted one of his brass sculptures before during my Project 297 Chakra Element week. [Lookie here!] Now here's another one displayed just outside the museum!

Pangarap ko talagang makabili ng gawa niya... Seryoso.

Sunday, April 03, 2011

[Project 365] Week 14

03.28.11
Day 87: Sky On Fire

Watching the sun as it sets the sky on fire...

03.29.11
Day 88: Green Pop Tabs

It could only be Heineken. ★

03.30.11
Day 89: The Graduate

Mico graduated from highschool today. And thanks to Dino, he finally had his picture taken with Pamela. Yihee! Nagbibinata! Haha. Congratulations, Mico! Get yourself ready for college! Shape up! Hehe. :P

03.31.11
Day 90: Shattered

"How many times can I break till I shatter?
Over the line can't define what I'm after
I always turn the car around
Don't wanna turn that car around
I gotta turn this thing around."
--- Shattered, O.A.R.

04.01.11
Day 91: Crazy Socks

Just me and my rainbow-colored socks being ourselves. Fun and crazy and happy! :)

04.02.11
Day 92: Running Solo

Was supposed to participate in the Hyundai Fun Run at the Quirino Grandstand. Unfortunately, work managed to sneak in late last night, making sure that I won't get enough sleep and energy for the run. Sayang. Lone runner tuloy ang drama. Haha.

04.03.11
Day 93: Hey Daydreamer!

The first time I heard the song "Hey Daydreamer", thought it was a new Owl City track. I Googled it and I was surprised to learn that the voice behind this very catchy song is a young Pinoy! And I'm not one to miss a photo opportunity with Rez Toledo of Somedaydream! I'm a fan! Hihi. :">

"Coz when tonight she holds you tight
You wonder if this fantasy is right
Coz when reality comes to play
You realize you couldn't make her stay."
--- Hey Daydreamer, Somedaydream
