Day 52: Iced Gems

Got a huge bag of Iced Gems from a Colette's store in Tagaytay. Funny how it brought almost everyone down memory lane...

I used to buy small packs from Mang Tens and bring them to school for recess. I eat them by colors. I eat all the pinks first, bite off the icing, then the biscuit. I get all the greens, bite off the icing, then the biscuit. I get the next color, bite off the icing, then the biscuit. Sometimes I just eat the icing, then throw the biscuit back inside the pack. Hihi. How do you eat yours?

Day 53: Sick Leave

Me: "May nabasa ako, hindi daw masama sa may ubo ang malamig. Ang masama daw, yung matamis."

Kaya kahapon, uminom ako ng napaka-sarap na avocado shake. Malamig pero hindi matamis. Pweydi. Pero bakit ako naka-Sick Leave ngayon? Bakit lumala ang tonsillitis ko? Bakit ako nilalagnat? Saan ko ba nabasa iyon? Amp. Sa Pugad Baboy yata...

Day 54: Happy 59th

Celebrated Dad's 59th birthday at Gerry's Grill, Greenhills. One year to go and you'll be enjoying the perks of being a senior citizen! Hehe. We know we're getting on your nerves, but you really gotta start watching your diet. You're not getting any younger! Pero dahil birthday mo, sige, lantakan na ang crispy pata!

Happy birthday, Dad! May you have many, many, many more birthdays to come! We love you! :)

Day 55: Yellow Ribbon

Day 56: ATRI ARTI

Hindi na ako nasanay.

Sa 5 taon kong pagta-trabaho, marami na akong nakilala, nakatrabaho, at naging kaibigan. Marami na rin akong nakitang nag-resign, lumipat ng ibang kumpanya, at lumipad patungo sa ibang bansa. Sabi nga ng boss ko noon, ganito talaga sa mundo ng IT, mataas ang turnover rate. Pero sa loob ng 5 taon, hindi pa rin ako sanay.

Bukambibig ng mga ka-opisina ko noon, "Wag ka nang malungkot. Tayo-tayo pa rin naman ang magkikita sa finals." Sa totoo lang, hindi ko naman alam kung ano yung tinutukoy nilang finals. Hindi ko alam kung kailan iyon mangyayari. End of the world ba iyon? Hindi ko alam e. Pero kapag naririnig ko yun, kahit papaano, nababawasan yung lungkot ko.

Last day ngayon ni Ate Medi. Naalala ko nung huli ko syang nakasamang tumakbo sa Ayala Triangle last year. Sabi niya, na plano na niya talagang mag-resign. Wag daw kaming magugulat kapag magpasa na sya ng resignation pagpasok ng bagong taon. Medyo sinubukan pa namin syang kausapin na i-consider yung ibang opportunity na binibigay ng kumpanya sa kanya. Pero desedido na ang bata ang Ate. Hehe. Nakakalungkot. Pero ganun talaga.

Ate Medi, tignan mo yang picture mo! Ang arty-arty-arty mo! Haha. Salamat sa pagkakaibigan, sa lahat ng kwentuhan, tawanan, bonding-an, chismisan (Huh? Ginagawa ba natin iyon?) at sa mga payo-ni-ate-medi. Hehe. Goodluck sa SG! Wag mong kakalimutan yung Project365 natin ha? Wag mo kaming kakalimutan kapag kumikita ka na ng limpak-limpak na salapi! Wag mo kaming kakalimutan. Period. Hehe. We miss you already, Ate Medi! Ayy, rhyme? At gaya nga nga lagi nilang sinasabi, kitakits sa finals... :)

Us: "IIYAK NA! IIYAK NA! IIYAK NA!"
Ate Medi: T_T
Me: "Uuuy.. Wag ka nang umiyak.. Magkikita pa naman tayo.."
Ate Medi: T_T
Ate Medi: "Ito naman ang gusto niyo diba?"

Ate Medi: "Akala ko malakas ako..."

Awww.. :(
Pero wagi ang last words ha! You deserve an Oscar! Hehehe. :P

Day 57: No Day But Today

RENT is the unforgettable and timeless story of a group of starving bohemian artists. Despite poverty and illness, they all learned to struggle with life and survived during the rise of a mysterious, deadly disease – AIDS. Eventually, they all learned to fall in love and found their voices through a universal message of hope for everyone.

Watched the RENT Musical at the Carlos P. Romulo auditorium in RCBC Plaza. Taking of photographs was not allowed but I was able to sneak a shot of our view of the stage. Hehe.

Gian Magdangal as Roger Davis was okay. He had this tough guy rock star look of the character. Sheree Bautista played Roger's love interest, the drug-abusing dancer Mimi Marquez. I was surprised that the Viva Hot Babe could actually sing and pole dance! Hehe. There were times though that you could see her struggling to sing and act at the same time. She sometimes loses her emotion while trying to hit her notes. But their team-up worked pretty well. I guess it helped that they were real-life lovers. Hehe.

Fredison Lo took the role of Mark Cohen, the guy who's never without his video camera. I pictured him as some nerdy-looking guy wearing a ridiculous sweater. But I only got the sweater right coz the actor who played Mark is really cute even with the nerdy-glasses on. I love his voice, his facial expressions and even his silly dance moves! And he's really cute. Oh did I mention that already? Haha.

Mian Dimacali, who played the bisexual Maureen Johnson really owned the stage during her performance of "Over the Moon". I didn't have so much voice but I was really laughing out loud! Enjoyed it so much I could jump over the moon and MOO with her! Haha.

Hands down to OJ Mariano and Job Bautista who played the roles of Tom Collins and Angel respectively. Felt the characters and their love for each other with every word they said and every note they sang. Found it really hard not to sing along when they did "I'll Cover You", which is my favorite song from the musical! Amazed at how Job danced around and jumped up and down the table in heels! I think almost everyone got teary-eyed at the scene where he was shivering to his death with Tom hugging him real tight. Job wasn't as good-looking as Fredison, but I found him more crushable. Too bad he's really gay. Nyaha.
